During the Depression, they started making colored glass as an incentive when you went to the grocery store. The high class dismissed the colored glass saying the style would never last and that clear glass was the only exceptional glass. But boy did time show them. Colored glass is back with a vengeance and you can get it in most colors, but there are some that have stood the test of time and green is at the top of that list.
